Jack Spitz – Owner and CEOIn 1995 my best friend and I started Atlas Pools and Spas. I was born and raised in New Jersey, and have been in the swimming pool industry for more then 28 years. Over that time, I have installed and sold many different types of pools, and managed various pool companies. I am married and have three beautiful children. With the exception of 21 years of marriage to my wife Barbara, and the birth of my three children, Atlas Pools and Spas is my proudest accomplishment. One more thing. I know this will be hard to believe by looking at my photo, but on February 28th 2013 my daughter blessed us by giving birth to the most beautiful grandson in the world !!! His name is Jackson Nicholas Spitz, and he is amazing.

Thomas Decker – Owner and Sales & Service ManagerMy very first job at 16 years old was working for a swimming pool company after school and 28 years later I’m proud to say that I am a true “pool guy”. I grew up in Ocean County and worked for one of largest pool builders in New Jersey learning a great deal about all aspects of pool construction, service and sales. During that time I met who quickly became my closest friend Jack Spitz. It didn’t take long for Jack and me to know that someday we would have a store of our own. After many years of hard work and following our dream we opened Atlas Pools and Spas in 1995. For 16 years we have been servicing all of Southern New Jersey and have solidified ourselves as the premier swimming company in the area. I have been married to my wife Kelly for 15 years and have 3 children, Thomas, Christopher and Jamie. We live in Egg Harbor Township and are very active in EHT sports. I have been coaching baseball and football for my boy’s teams ever since they have been old enough to play and am currently the Head Coach for the EHTYO JV Eagles. Atlas Pools & Spas has been a proud sponsor for EHT Sports programs for 15 years. I look forward to servicing our area for everyone’s pool and spa needs for many years to come! |

I’ve watched Atlas Pools grow to be the premier pool company in Alantic and Cape May Counties. I specialize in new in-ground pool sales, in-ground pool renovations and pool liner replacements. I built my home in EHT in 2002 and like that I’m part of the community and just minutes away from Ocean City’s boardwalk and beaches. |

Donna Schulten – Customer Service & Service ManagerI was born and raised in Queens New York and began my career in banking which I did for 15 years before relocating to Ocean County with my husband 23 years ago. I love the Jersey Shore, especially the shops and beaches, and in my spare time you will always find me relaxing and lounging in my Atlas pool. I started working in the swimming pool industry over 20 years ago and joined the Atlas team in 2004. I am currently the customer service manager, and enjoy talking and meeting with people daily. Tom Volz - (Tommy V) Startups & OrientationsT.V. was born and raised in North Jersey. Shortly after finishing school he started working in the construction trades, mostly in New York City. Tom started as a professionally trained union carpenter and quickly moved to various management positions. In 1973 he married a beautiful wife named Gae, bought a home in 1976, had their first son, T.J. in 1977 and another Matthew in 1980. The Volz family left the NYC rat race in 1985 to work in an Atlantic City Casino where he stayed as a Manager of Facilities for the next 30 years. Their grandson Jason was born in 2010 and captured the hearts of the Volz family completely. Tom retired in 2014. That summer Tommy V started with Atlas. "I have the greatest job in the world. My job is to make sure our in-ground pool customers love their new pool. I make sure all systems are working properly and to Atlas’s high standard. Then I get to teach the customers how to operate their pool along with a few tricks. When I’m done, every day they get to enjoy 'the best vacation is in your own backyard.'" |
